I'd like to provide a quick introduction to myself and do my best to outline the goals of the blog, and what I hope we can all get from this.
My background is in general IT Design and Support for Networks specifically. Currently I've been on a track focusing on Wireless (80211) in particular, but I've done work in Data (Cisco Lan) and Voice (Cisco UC) as well. I have experience in corporate environments in healthcare and manufacturing, and I am looking forward to exploring more in the manufacturing space from an architectural perspective. I currently hold several certifications from CWNP and I will be working towards the Cisco Wireless track in the near future.
WiFiRoundup is intended to become a place where notes can be published, new technologies tested, and perhaps eventually become a place where information can be shared between engineers and technicians. One thing I hope to accomplish is to promote Wireless Technologies in general, not just 80211. I look forward to looking into CBRS, 4G, 5G, and other tech. Many of the labs and trials I will be doing will based on my own curiosity or business requirements. That being said, if there is something you'd like to see, and I can source the equipment, I'll be happy to test it out!
Additionally, Off Topic Content will likely occasionally make it's way to the blog in an attempt to share a bit more of who I am as a person, as pure tech blogs can be a bit dry in my opinion. But I will do my best to bring informative, insightful information to the reader as best I can. Thanks again for reading!
